We still have a few spots to fill for Friday’s Tribe Town in Motown trip to Comerica Park, and you can win one of the last ones!

Here’s how:

First, you must be at the Tribe’s Tuesday night game vs. the Minnesota Twins, the first of a three-game series at Progressive Field. (And an important one, as the Indians continue to push for a spot in the Postseason.) Buy your tickets – which start at just $10 online – here.

Then, while at the ballpark, you must take and then tweet to us (@Indians) these photos, using #TribeTownInMotown in each tweet. (Pictures must be sent in individual tweets; no PicStich, etc.)

  • Selfie with #TribeTownInMotown sign at Tribe Rewards table
  • Selfie with Thome statue
  • Selfie with John Adams
  • A picture of the Medical Mutual sign at Progressive Field (hint: it’s hard to find)

Once you’ve taken those photos and tweeted…

Happy Mom’s Day!

I just want to wish all the moms, especially mine, a Happy Mother’s Day! I know my mom is having a great one as she is getting to spend it with my brother for the first time in several years! I miss her but I’m happy for this time she is getting to share with him and all her grandkids in Guam!

Bruno is my 13-1/2 year old. I got him from the shelter when he was 8 weeks old. He’s more grey and white than brown these days but still a sweetheart even as he slows down a little bit! Jake is 5-1/2 and Rocket is 3-1/2, both golden retrievers adopted as young boys. All 3 are heading to the beach one week from today!
Also, Happy Mother’s Day to my sweet mother-in-law! I am blessed to have her in my life too! And thanks to her, I have the most wonderful husband a woman could ever hope for!

So, hug your mom, hug your kids and hug your fur kids! ❤️

Post-Harlem Shake, Nick Swisher makes a new best bud in Goodyear

TribeVibe

Last year, in his first Spring Training as a member of the Indians organization, Nick Swisher brought a new energy to the Tribe clubhouse — and spearheaded The Harlem Shake: Tribe Town 216 Edition, a viral hit.

This offseason, we’ve gotten questions on Twitter about another version, but it appears Nick is a little too busy in Goodyear to lead the charge for a Shake followup.

Nick has found a new best buddy — Cleveland comedian Mike Polk, Jr. Judging by the video below, the duo is having a blast, staying up all night talking about all that’s great about the world, baseball, ponies and more.

Enjoy!

A passer by was walking in the area and heard screams. Tim Stelzel tells WSAW News:

They jumped 10 feet off thinking it was snow, and plunged through and went immediately under the ice and were swept downstream.”

Stelzel claims the dogs’ owners, a couple, “couldn’t be consoled”  Rescue crews were not contacted as the current swept the dogs away under the ice so quickly.

A reminder to keep your dogs on a leash near water this time of year.  So sad.
